We did not eat at the restaurant. We had a drink at the bar which was very cool. Very interesting little bar, very clean, well stocked, reasonably... priced with an extensive cocktails and shooters menu and the service was excellent. Will definitely return and try the food next timeread more

Wow... what an awesome night. Ate way too much!!! But it was great!!! Service was awesome.We had starters main and cake for dessert and man... everything was well presented and delightful. Thanks to the owner Jana who also came over to chat.The snails were so different but great. I had the fillet which was melt in the mouth even when it was more cooked than what I normally have it. O wow and the pumpkin fritters, I have no words. The boere curry my husband had was flavoursome.Well done!!!read more

We return to this restaurant time & time again, due to its fantastic, tasty food, the wonderful, relaxing and friendly atmosphere and... exceptional(excellent & friendly) service. Jana the owner of "Di Plaasstoep Restaurant, always wakes a point of coming over to all the tables of each of her patrons to welcome them and have a brief chat with them....you eventually feel like family, coming back to have a lunch date with a couple of family members. Alice is the friendliest and most endearing waitress my husband & I have ever met. She's always smiling & happy to see you come back and have the most beautiful, loudest & heartfelt laugh, if my husband says something funny.... Well, the atmosphere was great the prices were reasonable but I was a bit disappointed ???? with the burger I ate , the quality of the meat used to... make the patty is just not great please change it (had the beef ????) , the cheese sauce tasted a bit grainy and not cheesy at all ( I would have preferred real melted cheese) ... the onions were a no no , crispy deep fried or raw would've been better the base of my bun got soggy too quickly because of that... the fries were really the highlight of my meal they were super delicious ???? crispy on the outside and soft on the inside , the salad was ok I liked the pineapplePlease do something about the patty meat pleaseread more

This was a very nice restaurant to visit in the center of Clarence during a holiday period. The place was naturally full and we enjoyed all the... little touches that made it stand out like the bicycle on the roof and another small one where you enter the property as well as a tractor that the kids enjoyed and they bring the bill in a little tin box that looks aged. Everything in the restaurant matches theme and the name of the place.read more

I was last here 8 yrs ago & the place hasn't changed much. Still one waittress taking orders, service is still slow but the food is still good. I... tried the lamb stew & ohh man....so good. All the other people i came with enjoyed their food so its still a place to go to for a good meal. The waittress was friendly & hard working.read more

A gem found in Fouriesburg. We met the owner Jana and she made sure we were well looked after. We had breakfast twice and dinner while we stayed in... town. Nothing but good good things to say about this place. It's home away from home. When ever im there i order whatever with extra pumpkin fritters. Best... pumpkin fritters in the world. Not just saying that, i've been to many countries and Di Plaastoep always gets a thumbs up from me.read more
